Four litres of blueberries
Picking an insane amount of blueberries, thinking you can eat them all š«
Iāve been told picking your own fruit is a luxury. Letās see if thatās true.
I traveled 385.9 km from Montreal, QC to Wooler, ON just for blueberries.
I bought a 4L-basket just for blueberries.
I spent 3 hours in the sun ignoring potential heatstrokes and sunburns just for blueberries.
Given the cost of my travels, that 4L of blueberries is way too much for two people and that I now have a nice tan, I can confirm that picking your own fruit is indeed a luxury. Ok, I didnāt optimize my route ā I could have picked a farm that was closer to Montreal, such as Laval (meh). But hey, I love road trips. And I love luxury! Hereās what I made with the damn expensive fruit.
Chocolate-covered blueberries (with fresh blueberries)
Ingredients
120 g of semi-sweet chocolate
120 g of fresh blueberries
i.e. equal parts of chocolate and blueberries
Preparation
Line a pan with parchment paper.
Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler. Once the chocolate has melted, reduce the heat to the lowest setting.
With a spoon, dip the blueberries, a few at a time, in the melted chocolate. Place them on the prepared pan.
Put the pan in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or until set.
The chocolate-covered blueberries should be stored in the refrigerator.
